EASTER EGG ELEGANCE

We love the most delightful decorations

There is nothing prettier then seeing piles of decorated Easter Eggs spread across the yard (or in most cases this year, inside the home). Whether you are hard boiling or blowing your eggs this year, we have some unique ideas (inspired by our oils and vinegars) to give your eggs the unique spring look they are desperately in need for.

To start off with, make sure you have plenty of hard boiled or blown out eggs, small bowls or mugs with warm water, paper towels (for the mess), food dye, and of course don’t forget the oils and vinegars.

Start by mixing together 3 cups of warm water, 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 10 drops of food coloring.
Submerge eggs in dye and leave until they reach their desired color ...the longer they soak the deeper the color!
Blot gently with paper towels and let eggs dry completely.

Our favorite Marbleized texture comes next by simply adding one tablespoon of olive oil to each color and stirring gently to break oil up. The olive oil will allow another layer of color to be added to the egg, but make sure to only roll your egg a few times in the mixture as it can take over the first color if left for too long.

Be creative and make sure to add lots of color to your spring this year!
Happy Easter from your friendly staff at Gourmet Oil & Vinegar!!
